At a recent meeting of the CPA Association on Oahu, one of the members said, "we won't hire "B" students from the University of Hawaii School of Business-Accounting. We have found they don't understand basic accounting principles like depreciation. We only hire "A" students!"
Wow with a statement like this, I would hate to be a "C" student out there trying to get a job.
The University of Hawaii needs to take a look at what is going on if their employers are saying things like this. Nobody is perfect but the University of Hawaii is not served well by these types of comments.
What has been your experience with hiring UH Accounting Major Students?
