The 2015 outlook for Hawai'i's Tourism Industry seems to have strong steady indicators. Our number one industry is Tourism. What happens with this industry is closely followed by The Hawai'i Tourism Authority and here is what they have to say about our visitor data and airlift coming in to Hawai'i in 2015.
Airlift:
Domestic inbound seats should show about a 9.2% increase in lift to approximately 1, 944, 004 from 1, 781, 028 in 2014.
International inbound visitors should show a .5% increase to approximately, 977, 435 seats from 974, 534 in 2014.
Visitor Count:
Domestic inbound visitor count for 2014 was 7, 517, 413 which was a .9% increase for 2013.
I think we can safely project that our economy will support another good year. You can see why airlift is so important to us...so in the future pay attention to new flights coming into the state.
For small business planning purposes...generally, it is safe to say..."steady as she goes," especially if you are serving the Tourism Industry.
