Often, when you get to the point where you need a loan, you ask the accounting folks to provide the needed information for the lender. Sometimes, you get kind of blank stare making you think you are asking for something they really don't want to do.
Our answer to the above question is, "keep your books up to date at all times." You have to be diligent about doing this. No excuses,...none. If you are trying to do it yourself, we recommend you get a bookkeeper, immediately. The ideal situation is to employ or contract a bookkeeper and have a CPA check their work at the end of each quarter.
Today, there are even bookkeeping and accounting companies that can work completely on line both in the USA and Off Shore.
If you keep the books up to date, and properly organized, the act of a getting a loan when you need it will be much easier.
